The power station is expected to be commissioned by the end of this year, with average annual energy yield of about 1.077 billion kWh.

The plant, developed and owned by Datang Qinghai New Energy Development Co Ltd, is located in the new energy base of Hekatan in the northeast of Xinghai County, average altitude 3,200 meters, and is the first such large-scale project in the county.

The project located in desert plateau, is subject to drastic temperature differences and extreme weather, including high winds and hailstorms, and these pose great challenges to module reliability and energy yield. For that reason the Vertex N 700W+ series modules were an obvious choice for the project.

Among total scale of 560MW, Trina Solar supplies 488MW Vertex N 700W+ series modules equipped with advanced 210mm technology and n-type i-TOPCon Advanced technology. The products are renowned for their high reliability, high efficiency, high power, high energy yield and their ability to reduce LCOE, delivering more values to customers.

The great value offered by Vertex N 700W+ series modules can be illustrated by the 3.2MW ground power station in Gonghe County, Qinghai province. These modules can significantly reduce the costs of installation, electric components and trackers as compared with other modules. In-house manufacturing as a strategy for success

All solar trackers for the Ar Rass project will come from PVH’s recently opened factory in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), renovated with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. The Jeddah plant is the second manufacturing center of the company, which opened its first factory in Valencia (Spain) more than ten years ago, where it maintains its headquarters. These two plants will be joined this year by a third production center, which the company has already opened in Houston. Between the three, PVH expects to reach an annual production of over 20GW.

The trackers are specifically designed to withstand high temperatures and sandstorms while the advanced safety features will ensure its stable operation and corrosion resistance with an estimated life of 25 years. Around 132,000 homes, will be powered through this mega project and while offsetting 1.5 million tons of emissions per year.

The projects, located in Kent, New Castle, and Sussex Counties, are in the late stages of development and are expected to start construction during 2024. The acquisition of the portfolio marks Nautilus’s entry into the Delaware market and is the third transaction between Nautilus and TPE, demonstrating the strong partnership between the two organizations.

The six projects were developed by TPE as part of Delaware’s community solar program. Originally signed into law in September 2021, the program accelerates the adoption of community solar projects by removing existing barriers to participation and promulgating a requirement that reserves 15% of each project’s capacity for low-income customers. The law was years in the making with many stakeholders through a working group organized by State Senator Stephanie Hansen, Chair of the Senate Energy, Environment and Transportation Committee.

The new facility vastly expands the Company’s footprint in N-type cells while bolstering cell production capacity at the Hefei and Funing module manufacturing sites. Full production capacity is on target to be reached in the fourth quarter of this year.

The agreement to build the 1.12-billion-dollar facility was inked in October 2022. Construction commenced in February of this year, with it only taking five months to witness the first batch of cells coming off production lines. Leveraging the latest N-type high-efficiency cell technology, and deploying the world’s most advanced automated cell production equipment, GCLSI aims to build a large-scale, fully digital and intelligent high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) cell research and development (R&D) and manufacturing base.

The Wuhu plant complements and vastly strengthens the existing supply chain, adding needed scalability. The speed at which the facility was built – five months – reflects the company’s approach to building its manufacturing portfolio. With production currently underway, output will be gradually ramped up until full capacity is reached in the fourth quarter. The Wuhu initiative acts as a cornerstone for GCLSI to enhance its competitive leverage in the industrial chain for N-type modules, positioning it as an influential frontrunner and innovator in the latest generation of PV technology.

Following a restructuring of the module production portfolio, GCLSI has now embarked on an expansion phase of its cell and module production capacity. Following completion of the Wuhu facility, N-type high-efficiency cell will account for 87% of its cell production capacity, an impressive ratio in comparison to its peers. The project also demonstrates that the Company, backed by its parent GCL Group, has evolved into a fully enclosed PV industrial chain spanning silicon materials, wafer and cell production to module manufacturing and energy storage system integration, positioning it as a vertically cohesive company at the forefront of the industry.

GCLSI is also actively engaged in the R&D of large-scale N-type modules, with its N-type modules boasting efficiency exceeding 22%.
